Will the school entertain phone calls?
For 2010 and 2011 registration, there were a lot of PRs. Not sure about this year. There could be more SC trying their luck if they want to avoid Nan Chiau and Rivervale balloting.

For those staying in my area, we are within 1km of Nan Chiau, Compassvale and Sengkang. It is one or the other, lol. At least for this year, there is a Springdale across the road from my block.

i did called the school during the 3 days and understand that all SC applicants are likely to get in without ballot but still feel anxious until I see the update on MOE website today..

Hi All, fyi, just called the school, there will be 31 vacancies up for balloting by 63 PR children residing within 1km of Compassvale Primary school => approx. 50% chance of success for each PR applicant.


Vacancy for P2C = 110
No. of children registered = 150
No. of SC children accepted = 79
No. of vacancy up for balloting for Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) residing within 1 Km from the school only = 31

Hope the above info. will be useful for those parents going for the balloting exercise on Tuesday morning.

For my girl’s orientation last year, it was a few hours before her K2 graduation concert. So we ended up leaving after filling the registration and giro forms. For uniform n school books, we purchased on a separate day due to long, long queues. Some parents made their kids try on different sizes of the uniform :S
