ballot for 1-2 km confirmed... seems people are withdrawing... there are 6 pr who applied but no hope now.

Those SCs <1km should be rather safe here.

P1 registration is not trying your child luck as if it is on gambling table.

As parents, we ought to gauge between child ability and what the school can offer. Will your child excel in GEP school? Or 2nd tier schools? Or schools with particular strength that your child might lack?...etc.

well said THC, you are right, i should not feel tempted looking at the figures. just stick to what i had decided for my girl, if she is really good, she can transfer into St Hilda's one day. and that is when she shows her ability rather than depends on her luck.
