Oh our whole family tried it recently. My ds 9 yrs old and dd 11 yrs old. All of us love it very much and had a 2nd ride. To us, it was not scary at all. 😛 Just like watching a 4D movies with all the car ride movement. It’s look so real (we sit in the front roll) Very fun. kekekekeke…

My girl is 6+ going 7. She tried and liked it v much and kept asking to take it again. Think it depends on the character of the kid lah…if he/she is those that like to take challenges, can give it a go lor…just brief them of what to expect and if they get scared during the ride, just tell them to close their eyes…over in a short while.

Dear all, thanks for all your valuable feedback.

I just came back from Universal studios Singapore, and I am back on this forum to share.

Do you know what ... ? I spent my whole night worrying and weighing if I should let my 9 year old DD take the mummy ride, and ... just now, at USS itself, my dear daughter and her uncle (my brother) decided to take on the The Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon rollercoaster. She took the Cylon with him! I was totally over-ruled because even my DH also egged them on! I kept protesting, but they all ignored me. Grr ... :stupid:

While waiting for her to complete her ride, I was in total jitters! I kept asking myself why did I ever let her do this. I must be crazy .... blar bar blar. :nailbite: 😓 :xedfingers:

Well, after the ride, my brother (in his er hmm ... mid 30s) emerged looking quite green and pale. My DD on the other hand looked like she just had her best fun ever. If she did have a scare, she concealed well. Maybe she felt jelly inside, but wanted to put up a brave front. The truth .. well, I guess I'll not find out any time soon as I doubt she'll come clean.

As all of you would probably expect, since she survived the Cylon, there is no point in stopping her for the revenge of the mummy ride. Yup, she took it and proudly declared to me that she didn't screamed a single bit (maybe wanted to ''show off'' to me how brave she was lah ... kids). Only to poke me and said, \"but mummy, i noticed you screamed really loud ... i think you were the only one who really screamed''.

Do you think it's advisable to bring my 5-year old to USS when I'm 6months preggy? Will I be able to manage him alone? Or is it worthwhile since I'm not taking any of the rides? I wonder if they have special ticket pricing for preggy ladies 😛

Hahaa... I was there too when I was a little pregnant... A lot of the rides don't seem good for pregnant ladies though. Maybe except the carousel? 🙂

Or e.g. if you go for Shrek show, you sit at the spots for those who are pregnant, for little kids etc. Will still be fun. 🙂

We are currently holding 3 Adult Fun Pass Holders for the last 2 years....

I had the 3 Fun Passes renewed on Sept 2012.

I am shocked to read about the latest Annual Pass promotion less than SGD200 person
                -without Blackout Dates

And by topping up for another SGD100 , the pass gets Express Access....

Our Current Fun Passes , we paid about SGD300 per person...
We have blackout dates and no Express Access....

                This is very unfair.....!!!!!

By making this complaint.....on the internet...
I know it will get more people to buy the Annual Pass

I am just very furious...talking to the RWS Customer Service Officer is like talking to the wall....

Great here’s the reply by USS on the benefits for the Current Pass Holders:

For Existing Pass Holders we will be entitled to all the benefits…as stated in the new promotions

That means no Blackout dates and Express Access…

I prefer to book without bf. Not worth paying the extra for kids since included bf is only for 2. You can go bread talk to buy bread for breakfast the day before. We normally don't need very elaborate breakfast. I have booked the 3 days 2 nights package which comes with 2USS, 2 SEA Aquarium and 2 Adventure cove tickets. Thought it is ok, but can't remember if it was nett price. RWS hotels are never cheap during school holidays. Unless you are prepared to take kids out during term, that's the price you have to pay.
