            Hi

            Good Morning.

If the question is from top school past years papers, you may just provide a link to the paper highlighting the question number of the particular question you wanted to ask.

            http://www.orlesson.org/orp/ScienceExam.html

The steps to insert an image

            1) Do a print screen of the portion you want to upload.

            2) Edit using Paint. Cut out the portion of the question you want to upload.

            3) Save file in pictures

            4) Go to Flickr (Free sign up as member) or other storage sites. Upload file. Select biggest/medium size. Right click to copy URL of image.

            5) Coming back to Kiasuparents forum, click insert image button.

            Best wishes

How is tree useful to Birds Nests fern?

Plants growing in soil get their nutrient from the soil. Bird nest ferns growing on trees get their nutrient from the tree.

Answer: The tree provides nutrient for the Birds Nests fern, which is needed for the fern to grow.

                  TIA

                    Please help with this question.

                    Wheat plant–>Grasshopper–>Sparrow–>Python

A lot of chemical was sprayed on the wheat plants to get rid of weeds at a farm. In the long run, the chemical was found to be the greatest in the python. Explain how this has happened.

                      Wheat plant-->Grasshopper-->Sparrow-->Python

A lot of chemical was sprayed on the wheat plants to get rid of weeds at a farm. In the long run, the chemical was found to be the greatest in the python. Explain how this has happened.

When the grasshopper eat the wheat plant sprayed with chemical, the chemical is passed to the grasshopper. The chemical remains and accumulate in the body of the grasshopper which is the total amount of chemical found on all the leaves that it had eaten.

When the sparrow eats the grasshoppers, the chemical that is accumulated in the grasshoppers is passed to the sparrow. Again, the chemical remains and accumulate in the the body of the sparrow which is the total amount of chemical found in all the grasshoppers that it had eaten.

As a result, the python will have the greatest amount of chemical which is the total amount of chemical found in all the sparrows that it had eaten .

My answer : The chemical on the leaves is passed to the grasshopper when it eats the leaves. Its body system is unable to remove the chemical and the chemical remains and accumulated in its body. The same process occurs down the food chain. As a results the python will have the most chemical because it consumes an accumulation of all the chemical taken in by all the organisms before it in the food chain.
