Wow! I am not aware of this. Is it very expensive? Any idea?

        Thank you in advance!

can try out Queensway shopping center. At the top floor , there is a sports shop, Interlink or something. It’s the only sports shop there.

However, there is another small shop on the 2nd floor, and it’s cheaper there. Don’t know the name, but it’s next to a sports shop. Just walk around on the second floor, at the outer ring, till you come to a small shop selling swimming stuff. It’s manned by an old couple.

The safest bet is world of sports either at Plaza or tampines branch cos I told my students mum and they got it there.

            The brand is vgo
Some the speedo & arena branchs I visited before only carried Adult ones and not kids so its best you call the shop before heading down.

            Vgo cost ard $28++

              Hi UncleLim,

              Your post caught my attention.

I have read Total Immersion and I must agree that there are indeed some good tips.

Anyway there are many books regarding swimming in the library that really worth reading up.

If you enjoy swimming and like to push a little bit without much time constraint 🙂 may I recommend you to join NUS Splashdown Swimathon in Sep.

It is a yearly event organized by NUS lifeguards corp. Swim 2.5 / 5 km in under 3 hours.

I'm doing the 2.5 km swim and I think 3 hours is quite generous.

              Cheers and enjoy your swim.

                Hi Swimironkids,
Yes, I got a pair from the World Of Sports shop at Plaza Singapura, it's VGO, no other brand with power for children.

Thanks a lot! Thanks for all the other info also. When I get a chance, I will check out the Arena shops. Isn't this a good business since so many kids here are short sighted? But it's been pretty difficult to get a pair even at an optical shop where we get the spectacles. They mostly carry adults'.

                Regards,
                Xiaohu

                    Uncle Lim,

I can swim laps but nowadays I find it quite boring, how to motivate myself?

I also find that swimming makes me me very hungry easily which is bad.

I only do it when my 2 kids swim with me. They are the ones who push me to swim laps with them.
