DS was just complaining to me abt his calculator when he lost 2 marks from his Math mock prelim, saying that the calculator gave him the wrong answer!!! :faint: :slapshead:
If he were to use another calculator, wonder what excuse he'll use then?? can't find the number??

All the best for PSLE Oral! Just to add on, when my child was taking PSLE, teacher reminded them not to use friction pen. At a certain temperature, the words will become invisible.

For the coming Prelim, my dd’s class has been instructed by their FT not to use the correction tape if possible. Any words written wrongly, they are advised to just cancel and continue their writing .

Actually, I've read from the PSLE booklet that mistake should be cancelled by pen. I did check with DS, but he said his teachers did not mention anything about this. So is it ok to use correction tape during PSLE?

My dd's teachers have told them long ago that correction tapes are not allowed in PSLE.

If the child discovered that he has used the wrong method for math story sum, won't it be very untidy if he were to cancel & re-do??? & what if there's no more space available?? My DS always like to put the numbers all over the place...

I was discussing this with dd the other day. The problem sums questions are usually one question per page. We discussed whether to write her workings on half page only and in the event of cancellation, she has the other half page to write her revised workings. Or to write her writings with 1.5 or double line spacing and in the event of alteration, she can cancel the affected areas and rewrite on those spacing.

I cannot remember what PSLE instructions are like anymore...too far away...
