Mine in P5. Yes, we welcome the day off whether or not they are participating. There are more school days aniwaes… so no biggie (for us). …and mind you, school hours these days are sometimes longer than normal 8hrs like parents going office hours. My girls awake at 5 plus and certain days reach home ard 6.

and may be ill-treated by some parents ?
The common complains are low salary and long working hours. Which, has nothing to do with parents.

but verbal abuse by parents in cyber space just got worse with all the false accusations . :censored: .... in the other threads

Give up after nth tries.. no more energy to fight since there are many more young and capable teachers-to-be around..

\"We had a very good cohort this this year.. and would not be able to offer you.................................\"

                see until sick.

                Not keen anymore..
Did i read correctly, you made failed ninth attempts? :yikes:

Don't know about you, but if any company dares to reject me 9 times in a row, I surely would have only bad things to say about them.

                  That is you..

If the company is lousy, I would have bad things to say about them whether or not they are my employer.

And, I am saying MOE pays well and gives good benefit. I say MOE makes an attractive employer. And it is worth numerous attempts..

Is that a bad thing? I'm praising MOE in a way.. as an employer. Good for the employee..

ok.. since you agree with this.. nothing to add from me.

coz some time back I saw some comments about teachers having poor treatment (salary/benefits etc..).. Since we all agree benefits is good.. that should silence some critics about poor benefits..

:hi5: When hubs doesn't hv impt appts he does take leave after National Day so we all can relax together. It's our non spoken agenda. Been a few years liddat liao since the children started schooling.

We just work within our limits amongst what's given. If hubs cannot take leave, the kiddies and I hop over to gramps to chillax. No issue.

Even on certain years if that too didn't work out, we've had play dates with frenz.

Nx year cannot cos DD's turn at PSLE. 😄

I have both P5 & P6. Have no issue with 10th Aug being a Sch holiday all these years. However, do welcome it more this year as I feel my 2 kids are a little tired......a good break/rest. I just hope they won't get tons of homework.
