      Hi Chubby08,

      Thanks for your valuable feedback.

I supposed I’m indeed too overly anxious. My girl is not in the pink book serial yet. I will let her stay on till she’s on the pink book serial and decides after that if she still shows no improvement.

Any parents know how long need to take to reach the pink book serial? My girl is now on book 39 and 40.

        Hi chubby&snow,

Yes teacher Janice (TBR) is good… They will adjust d students books if they feel d kid is good enuf.
Snow, Tik ur kiddo if not exactly weak mayb can ask to adjust her book coz if not mistaken k2 books Sh hv 180set. Towards d end k2series, Sh b doing p1 stuff as well.
Personally find book 40+abit too easy for k2 ESP now oredi in aug…
Nevertheless good to build strong foundation & create interest in Maths @ tis juncture.

        … My 2cents

          Hi Irene,

Actually I have spoken to the person in-charge before to ask whether can skip a few workbooks but she told me to wait until my girl took the test. And provided she got ALL correct then she is allowed to skip a few workbooks. She sound as if is not encouragable to skip workbooks 😞

And to tell the truth, though my girl has been with the centre for 3 months. Till now, I still do not know who is her trainer. Everytime the trainer taking her keeps changing. *headache*

            Snow,

If she jus started 3mths, u monitor 1st…,coz will need time to get use to d self learning process…is true tat not v advisable to skip books, as d chd mayb v put off by d prog/Maths if u embarked on smtig too challenging for a start… Mayb got d nxt term, u can voice ur concern again…
            Cheers

Agree. My boy is 2 months into MPM and doing books 27 and 28.
So he will be doing 39, 40 by middle of next month (3rd month).
Sounds like Snow1976's DD started off at about the same books as my boy.

But unlike her DD, my boy is only in K1.

K2 children at this time are doing SG081 and above. The advance level children already move on to the P1 materials.

You need to encourage your dd to be more independent, focus (not day dreaming), learning attitute must be positive.

The materials can skip, no choice, if behind time. SG081 above is more important and appropriate for P1 preparation. In this material, it covers word problems, sudoku, coins, tracing lines, very very challenging materials.

If the child is not ready, then go for slower pace.

                      Hi,

Like to know, for a child who has completed the whole Jelic program, usually at which booklet would the child start on MPM program?

                      Thanks.
