Fail 2c supplementary, you go to phase 3.

Before phase 3 happens, you can approach MOE to help you to do manual posting on the schools which have vacanies nearest your house.

If you do not go to MOE before phase 3 happens, then you participate the phase 3 with the foreigners.
The priority is same as earlier phases, SC before PR, PR before foreigners.
Sure will get place in phase 3.

What are your backup schools if not able to get a place in Radin Mas? Looking at it you may want to consider Queentown, New Town & or Blangah Rise in Phase 2CS.


Maybe you may want to enquire from MOE what is fail in Phase 2CS. Can the Phase 3 be applicable to SC & is ti on a first come first serve basics?

My backup plan is actually Cantoment which is 1-2 km. but looking at the situation, with only 30 over vacancies left, chances of me getting in will be very low too.

And if my DS name wasn't called, how should I go abt to put him in the waiting list for RMPS?

You should monitor the situation during P2CS. Choose a school that you guarantees you a place rather than go through balloting.

Should your child be unsuccessful in P2CS, MOE will write to you and ask you to nominate schools which still have vacancies then. If you choose not to nominate schools, MOE will post your child to the nearest school with available places.

What, then, is the backup of your backup school? Let's say the backup of your backup school is Queentown and you don't need to go through balloting in Queenstown but you need to go through balloting in Cantonment. You may like to consider Queenstown rather than Cantonment.

The limited number of places left in Cantonment after P2C means that you may not even get a chance to participate in the balloting, if at all.

Touch wood, should your child be unsuccessful in the P2C balloting, you just need to go up to the Principal or Vice-Principal (either one or both will be present for the balloting) and put down your child's name in the wait list.

Wonder how they choose those in waiting list, first come first serve or according to phase and distance? If according to phase and distance, those in ph 2b will get priority over those in 2c. But it's gd to put in waiting list as not all may put in waiting list, then got chance

Yes maybe need to feedbacl to MP or MOE where suggest build another 2 schools in Tiong Bahru area. The current ZDPS have limited capacity intake for the students. :lightrod:

I suddenly recalled that a new primary school will be built along Alexandra Road (opposite Gan Eng Seng Secondary). Read about it 1 or 2 years ago. Totally forgot about it until just now, i passed by the land. They are doing the piling of foundation now. Guess it will be ready in 2 years' time?

Frankly, I would suggest you enroll your child into either Radin Mas or CHIJ (kellock). Being a student from CHIJ (kellock), I would say that the school was very balanced - in academics & in a child's well-being. Now that I'm pursuing my secondary school education, I have a fellow classmate who is from Radin Mas and she has also expressed to be on the views about her school. Both schools are not only able to achieve rather pleasing results but they also encourage a well-rounded education.

From the website, you will find CHIJ Kellocks CCA. Extremely impressive. I doubt many schools can match that. CHI Kellocks education very holistic.


I went to the school to take a look last week. On arrival, a girl was pasting some posters on a pillar smiled at me. So sweet! I walked around and when I saw her again, I asked her some questions regarding the school. She was articulated very well and volunteered more information. She was so proud of her school and encouraged me that there would be no regret if I put my girl there. WOW!!!
