To be fair to limlim, I do not remember he bashed any teachers in this thread. He's just saying that perhaps it's easier if there aren't so many \"unnecesary\" school hols (not that I agree).

When forummers talk about teachers, they're talking about a handful that they encountered that may not really have that passion or commitment to teach, definitely not referring to all the teachers.

The case you you witnessed about the parent in school is also your own experience, we can't say you're bashing all the parents. Just a handful of unreasonable ones. If I were to see it, I'll think this parent has a very low EQ to do that in front of the children. Does she think she's above the teacher?

I agree that teachers' jobs aren't easy. My DS had a very committed teacher who shared how exhausted she felt having to attend so many meetings etc, even during the school hols.
That's why I don't think they should schedule the activities during weekends or take away those NDP and other hols, they need time for their own family too.

          My thoughts..

I agree with your view. Absolutely. :celebrate:

          Err..I'm a teetotaler ,so :hi5:

              Hi Limlim,
Many kinds of people make the world.
Some are downright mean...some are really nice. There are some who have no EQ...behaving as if they are the boss and everyone has to listen. Although I AM A SAHM, I do hear the diff types of people hubby faces. I had a nightmare very recently...don't know how to describe this person. I cried buckets not bcos I was upset, but bcos I was cheated and felt betrayed. It took me several days to try and get over it.
Definitely off topic and no offense (what i mentioned earlier) to anyone here. But hope you can post here again soon.

Some are also naggy and they tend to go on and on about the same thing over and over  to which everyone has to read :frustrated: ... i mean, this is life. Life is never fair. If we can accept it, we can move forward to do better things.. perhaps bigger things that are more constructive.

The serenity prayer says it best... :please:

\"God, please grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.\"

Back to Aug 10. Yes, it’s a school holiday for the kids. My son won’t get to enjoy a full day of fun, but I am planning to give him 1/2 day off. Building momentum is crucial.
