Just curious. Why is the P1 registration exercise for children born between 2 January 2006 and 1 January 2007 but not between 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2006? Can those children born on 1 January 2007 choose to register next year?

Neither of the parents need to be present.

You just need NRICs of both parents.

Generally, no, but check with the school.

Those born in 1 January 2007 have to register this year, cannot register next year.

My son childcare has a girl born on 1 jan n she celebrated her birthday in sch with them on the last day of last yr. She really looks taller n more matured for the group since nursery so I suspect she is 1 jan 2006. Think her parents are choosing for her to register within her year group.

Can someone advise me? I am living within 1km of a school i hope to register my kid in, but i have no PV, clan, church, sibling etc. Which phase do I fall under? Phase 2C? Do I only go down to the school to register when Phase 2C starts?

ah....i hope you are talking about registering next year and not this year.

yes, you fall under phase 2c. come may onwards, check the moe website, newspapers and this forum...you willknow the dates.

yes, you register when phase 2c starts, i believe it is spread over 3 days.

Question again - if i failed in Phase 2C balloting, can i on the same day register for another school? Eg. I go for NanHua balloting, failed. Can I quickly go to Qifa or Clementi Primary to register on the same day? Can Gurus advise?
