Friendship , I dun understand your comments?

Applicants for phase 2c is 147 for abt 71seats. This time Only Singapore citizens within 1km are encouraged to register for balloting as the chance of outside 1km is equi zero.

        yes single session next year.

From phase 2C result, this school has to work harder in order to stay competitive.
So many schools are catching up.

Agreed! their lower primary foundation is not strong enuff, hardly any homework
Saw anchor green P1 schoolwork is abt this school P2 standard

All 1 km also need to ballot, year after year. Chances depend on applicants that yr. this yr onwards is gd cos sing citizens got priority when there is a need to ballot.

My child chance was 30 % 3 yrs ago 180 applicants for 63 seats.

If u are in lower pri, dun complain. Enjoy ur honey moon. Wait till u are in P 3 or 4 onwards. Then u hope there is no hw 😛
MOE calls is to give Lower pri a slow start to adjust.
But my feeling is, although not much hw , u must drill ur child at home for regular revision. Their CA n Exam papers are not easy hor. Purposely meant to stretch n expose the riverlites

This school focus only on upper primary like p5/p6 and expect gd results, well arent its abit too late

The school teaches less and expect parents to revise closely, which most working parent faced difficulty and thats y most ppl in spore had to go to tution cos schools are not doing gd enuff.
Plus i dun see such pattern for some other primary school, where their lower pri foundation were gd and gave reasonable amt of hw.

Btw, the school reads this forum n tried to ask students to tell parents not to post here
As im working and only appreciate the distance for the caregiver

RVPS been running in old school style for too long. It is time to learn from the new generation schools. If the school is reading this forum, please review. Stopping comment is not a solution.

Hmmm… If so unhappy, transfer out to the suitable sch in your heart.the q for entering is long too. That’s what I feel.

So far I have not much complain yet though I m a working parent n trying hard to teach n stretch my own child at home to excel. There is so much a sch can do. If sch teach too fast , parent complain. If sch teach slow , parents also complain. I came from a well know mission sch, and since young I worked hard at home myself ,not relying the sch. Sch needs to cater for near 1300 to 1500 students

Then transfer is a right move:) give the seat to their people waiting in the Q

Gd that u can stretch ur child, on surface the school seems popular as of now, there are many up coming new schools

Not relying on school then wats the point of going to school?
Wat abt those kids whose parents who do not have the capacity to teach or cant afford to send them for tution? They suffer in silence?

Wat im hoping the school have a balance in their teaching so that the standard gap between the lower and upper pri is not so huge

I did consider transfering and the idea is still there
