SJI got the School Excellence Award, highest award available by MOE.

Band 1 school for 2 years already. Nan Hua was Band 3 previously before becoming Band 1.

Special mention by PM Lee in the National Day Rally Speech for effective racial integration.

Financial Assistance available for even those who earn up to $7,200 per month.

My son got 245. Is Nan Hua High better than SJI?

Nan Hua is a sap school - can use hcl points.
SJI is independent school - school fees are steep.

... hence only thing matter now is Whether those who put as 'First Choice' are prefered over 'Second choice'

Two Booklets are 'Slient' about it ,hence please .... please ...please post opinion
My friends that work in MOE confirmed that they have a list with decimal points.

            Question:

If applicant A with score of 250.123456 put school A as first choice where as applicant B with same score of 250.123456 put school A as 2nd choice.

If there is only one place left, will the place goto applicant A because he put school A as first choice ?

            Thank you.

My girl gets 257 and merit for HCL.

Would appreciate your comment on my chances if below is my choice of schools.

1st choice : NJC (-2 point), last year COP : 259. This is a non-SAP school hence cannot add 2 marks from HCL.

              2nd Choice : Dunman High (-1 point), last year COP : 260.

              3rd choice : River Valley High , COP 254

              4th Choice : St Nicholas

Based on the above, what is her chance like to get into Dunman High if she fails to get NJC ? Does it make sense to make DHS 1st choice and NJC 2nd choice ?

Given Dunman High is a popular school, wouldnt her chance be lowered if we put it as 2nd choice ?

I would put Dunman High as first choice. Cos NJC not really high chance, 2 marks away. While Dunman is just one mark away. So I would put Dunman as first choice, but it's really up to you, just my opinion.. πŸ™‚
Well, I got 285, I need some advice... Should I enter Nanyang Girls or Raffles? Alot of teachers advise me to go to Raffles...but which is a better choice? Anyone can help? :? :? :?:

I personally like Nanyang Girls, I am very impressed with the girls there, confident, polite and humble too. I also like the school building very much. Have you been to these 2 shcools?

me too! Heard that Hwa Chong, NJC, Nan Yang all have very nice buildings.
