5 fishermen in a village can catch 10 fishes in 10 minutes on average. How long will 50 fishermen in the village take to catch 50 fishes on average.

5 fishermen -- 1 fish --- 1 min
50 fishermen -- 10 fishes --- 1 min
50 fishermen -- 50 fishes --- 5 min

837 - 648 = 189 (spent by Jason and Edward)

1 p + 4 u = 189 **
3 p + 21 u = 837 total amount at first

equalise,
3 p + 12 u = 567 **
3 p + 21 u = 837

9 u --- 270
1 u --- 30

1 p + (4 x 30) = 189
1 p = 69 hence, Jason has 69 x 3 = 207 at first

Number of pages read: Number of pages unread ------- 2:5 (7) -------- 18:45 (63)

Case 2

Number of pages read: Number of pages unread ------- 4:5 (9) -------- 28:35

10 units ------- 40

1 unit -------- 4

Total number of pages -------- 63*4 -------- 252
