:hugs: We are in the same boat. Althougt CPS is still within 1-2km away, I believe there will be another round of balloting going on there as well. Like what Titank has said, guess we can only monitor and see how. What's your backup plan?Hi all,
I had failed in RMPS, and now the schools vacancies that are near my hse are all taken up. I am fainting . Now left BRPS n CPS which are more than 2km away. What should I do :nosebleed:
I went to BRPS and found out that it is actually a very new school. THe only con is it is too inaccessible. -

Yup. I placed him in the waitlist. But do you have any idea how will they choose the applicant? They said it is not on a first come first serve basis. Can i put him in ZDPS waitlist too?Sorry to hear that. :hugs:
Did you put your child's name in the waitlist?
Wish you best of luck in P2CS. -
Yes in terms of infrastructures, Blangah Rise Primary is the school with the newest outlook structure.
I do agree that it is not so accessible as it is situated quite deep inside the Telok Blangah estate. -

No idea about this. Remember, one child was balloted out in P2B. So, maybe the school will give priority to this child before considering P2C applicants?
This is an area that all schools have control over and I suppose they will try NOT to be too transparent about it, in case parents cry foul.TwoTerrificTs:
You didn't apply with ZDPS, so you cannot be in the waitlist. What you need to do now is to apply for a place in another school. Once your child gets a place in a school, you may either wait for RMPS to contact you, or apply for a transfer to ZDPS.Can i put him in ZDPS waitlist too?
Step by step. Concentrate on P2CS first.

I don't have good impression either , but if I go for CPS I'm afraid there will be another round of balloting. N we are more than 3 km away from that sch, do I stand a chance?I think I rather you try for Cantonment PS, its a new estate and a new school so the principal should be trying hard to drive the school to do better in all areas.
Dont have a good impression of Blangah Rise. ( I used to live in Telok Blangah a few years back) -

Located at Telok Blangah Rise, Blangah Rise Primary School was officially opened on 12 July 1978 by Mr Bernard Chen (then Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament).
15 December 1999 marked new beginnings for Blangah Rise Primary School with Mrs Angelina Thng as the new principal and the relocation of the school to its present premises at Telok Blangah Heights. Built at a cost of 12.8 million dollars, the school houses 35 classes, with an enrolment of about 1300 pupils and a staff strength of 60 at the turn of the millenium. This new campus was officially declared open on 29 June 2001 by Mr Lim Hng Kiang (Minister of Health and Second Minister for Finance, Member of Parliament for West Coast GRC). -

Suggest that you go for BRPS which have 180 vacancies vs 31 vacancies in CPS. Since you are more than 2km away from CPS, chances entering does not look good. Most likely CPS would require some form of ballotig for 1km or 1-2km.
You may also want to consider Queenstown or New Town Primary at the same time in this phase of registration.
