Pole Snapped at Pole Vault Jump. Luckily he wasn't hurt, but Cuban Lazaro Borges couldn't perform well after that.

The Olympics have been great, here in the UK.

I was sceptical at first, as we never normally win anything. Alas, I see a plethiora of medals (including Gold) won by Team GB!!!

On a different note I have had to take a different route into work as Olympics knockout football matches were being played at the local stadium. A lot of seats are empty (no doubt corporate tickets not used) but I was still unable to get any tickets for the evening matches.

Hopefully, I will take the boys to Weymouth (near Cowes) this weekend to catch some of the sailing events.

an interesting comparison of prize money for the Games. There is none for Britain but winners will have their faces printed onto stamps as a form of appreciation. Ours should be the highest offered in the world.

Why So Many Olympic Athletes Are Wearing Colored Tape

You may have noticed a bunch of athletes at the London Olympics coated in colored tape. The thick stripes might be bright blue, pink, black or beige. They cover everything from shoulders and backs to abs and quads.
The elusive material is called Kinesio tape. Its inventor, Japanese chiropractor and acupuncturist Dr. Kenzo Kase, claims that the elastic tape reduces pain and supports muscles without restricting movement like other traditional sports tapes. According to the Kinesio website, the tape \"microscopically lifts skin and channels away moisture.\"

Singapore is among the top in many areas, perhaps sometimes being too eager to be among the top in all areas is not good for a small country.
