I think I rather you try for Cantonment PS, its a new estate and a new school so the principal should be trying hard to drive the school to do better in all areas.

Dont have a good impression of Blangah Rise. ( I used to live in Telok Blangah a few years back)
I don't have good impression either , but if I go for CPS I'm afraid there will be another round of balloting. N we are more than 3 km away from that sch, do I stand a chance?

I went to BRPS and found out that it is actually a very new school. THe only con is it is too inaccessible.
:? BRPS = Blangah Rise Primary School - new school?

Located at Telok Blangah Rise, Blangah Rise Primary School was officially opened on 12 July 1978 by Mr Bernard Chen (then Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament).

15 December 1999 marked new beginnings for Blangah Rise Primary School with Mrs Angelina Thng as the new principal and the relocation of the school to its present premises at Telok Blangah Heights. Built at a cost of 12.8 million dollars, the school houses 35 classes, with an enrolment of about 1300 pupils and a staff strength of 60 at the turn of the millenium. This new campus was officially declared open on 29 June 2001 by Mr Lim Hng Kiang (Minister of Health and Second Minister for Finance, Member of Parliament for West Coast GRC).

Suggest that you go for BRPS which have 180 vacancies vs 31 vacancies in CPS. Since you are more than 2km away from CPS, chances entering does not look good. Most likely CPS would require some form of ballotig for 1km or 1-2km.

You may also want to consider Queenstown or New Town Primary at the same time in this phase of registration.

Yup. I placed him in the waitlist. But do you have any idea how will they choose the applicant? They said it is not on a first come first serve basis. Can i put him in ZDPS waitlist too?

rmps said they choose those in waiting list based on reasons. Eg, those put in 40 hrs in pv work have more valid reasons than those who didn't

Reason? Is staying immediately next to the school (the block closest to the school) a good enough reason to be higher on the waitlist than someone staying 1-2 km from the school and has put in 40 hours of PV work? 🤷

ZDPS wait list is base on your balloted queue no. After the child fail to get a seat in phrase 2C!

You mean priority given based on the queue number given during balloting? :faint:

What, then, was the basis for the queue number? 🤷

Parents whose children were given the last few numbers must be :gloomy: .

No the queue no was given using the ping pong ball method!

Those who got in are within 1 km & SC. Chance of waitlist to go in is very difficult, dont think anyone will withdraw. By results infuture is it better?

                        Hi all,

Do anyone know more about BRPS,like how are the teachers n principal. I had called the school for some enquiries but the lady seems to be impatient and kind of rude, this gave me a pause on choosing this school for 2C supp.
