Precisely. As long as one is staying at the address, be it own or rent, used for registration, it is not against the terms and conditions set by moe.

Moe also know it is impossible to insist a family stay put inone place for the full six years or more.

I think SC should be given priority before PR that said after ALL SC secured a place for their kids and not like the current new system. I may sound mean but this is the basic need we Singaporeans ask for i.e to secure a place for our next generation. If we don’t voice it out who will?

If PR think that they should be given priority too then by all means convert to be our new citizen be a true Singaporean and contribute to our country.
Not just by using our educational system to nurture their kids and then return to their own country after they finished their studies.

I hope MOE can look into it and further enhance and improve on its current primary school registration so that the SC parents can benefit from it for next year registration.

I have been thru the 2C balloting and I know it’s damn stressful and cruel !!!

I am curious, how does it work?

If the father is sc and mother is pr, baby is?

If father and mother are pr, baby can be sc?

If either father or mother is sc, the child is sc.

If both pr, the child definitely not sc, most likely pr and possibility of being a foreigner.

I cannot remember there's a choice. When I register my 2nd child birth, straight away the birth cert indicate he was borned a citizen. No option for me to choose leh. my wife is pr.

To be precise all SC should be allocated a place in all phase before PR. That should be the case. PR should not be allowed up till pharse 2C.

From my understanding, Kheng Cheng had quite a handful of PR in 2C. Shouldnt PR been rejected during 2C even if there's a vacancy. It should been reserved for those SC who fail to register a place in any school!!!

PR should only be allowed to register in the LAST phase (FUTURE).
You had a choice. Had you registered for the same school as the PRs in 2C, you would already have priority over them.

You gave up your priority, and now complain that the priority is not enough..? isn't it a bit too unreasonable?

However, regarding your suggestion that PR should not be allowed before P2C.. I support this..

Esp P2A. Like someone mentioned, if they so many years in SG and their kid still PR, I seriously doubt their commitment and whether they deserve the priority.

I believe there will be more changes as soon as next yr to give more priority to SC.
