      Hi
For the first link,(p) is tadpole and (q) is fish. You'll have to find the relationship between the fish, the plants and the aquarium. The key is 'omnivorous fish'.

For the second link, the question is testing you on your knowledge of friction.
The surface which has a rougher surface will lead to the car traveling a shorter distance than the other one.Using this clue, you can sketch accordingly to the question.

For the third link,The question is quite tricky. You know that cement floor is the roughest surface among the items listed in the question. Thus, the cement floor is grouped under 'd'.The problem starts know. Some will be stuck on this area where there are sand and grass.I relate this to sports. The tennis court grounds are mainly made out of grass. This shows you that when people play tennis, the friction between the person's shoes and to the grass is almost the same when the person is standing on concrete floor. This example says that grass's roughness is almost the same as cement floor and rougher than sand.

For the fourth link, The question is testing you on your graph interpretation skills.you should know that x axis is the independent variable and y axis is the dependent variable.Using this clue, you can solve the question.
      cheers

Charsen, I did not understand the link 4 and link 2[/quote] Hi
For the link 2,draw the line in a graph in which the line representing surface x increasing trend should be steeper than the line representing surface y.
For link 4,Read the relationship carefully. Here is a clue--(the first part in a relationship sentence is the independent variable)Using the information i gave above earlier this morning, you would be able to find the trend of the graph the relationships have.
      cheers

          Please help with this question!

The organisms below are organisms that belong to the jungle habitat.

          Plant>>>plakker gypsy moth>>>bird
          Plant>>>Washington moth>>> bird

The player gypsy moth is characterised by its light colour whereas the Washington moth is dark coloured. The populations of both types of moths remained the same until the mahogany trees with dark trunks were fell for their timber. Within a month after all the mahogany trees were fell, the number of the two types of moths dropped. The number of Washington moths decreased more than the number of plakker gypsy moths.

1.Explain why the number of both moths decrease after the mahogany trees are fell.

          2. Explain why there was a bigger drop for the population of Washington moths as compared to that of the plakker gypsy moths.

            Hi
            1. After the trees are chopped, there are fewer plants for the moths to eat.Hence, the number of both moths decreased due to starvation of food.

2.For this question, you must see the relationship between the washington moth colour. If you read the sentence where they decribe the mahogany trees, they mentioned the tree is dark coloured.Relate this information to the food chain which involves the washington moth. The answer is:
The washington moths camouflaged to the mahogany trees to escape from the birds.Since there are no mahogany trees, the washington moths are easily spotted by the birds compared to plakker gyspy moth and more washington moths are eaten up.Hence, the population of washington moths drcerased more than the plakker gyspy moth.
            Hope this helps.
            cheers
