      Hi,

Appreciate if someone can help on this one:-

Kelvin and Ron had $135 altogether. After kelvin spent 2/5 of his money and Ron spent $79, they had an equal amount of money left. How much did Kelvin have at first?

      Thank you.
      Let me try...

      135 - 79 = 56

      56 / 8 = 7

      7 * 5 = 35

      Ans - $35...

          Area of floor = 25 x 20 = 500

          Area of a tile = 5 x 4 = 20

          No. Of tiles = 500/20 = 25

                  I think it's

                  Area of floor = 500 X 400 (cm)

                  Area of tile = 25 X 20 (cm)

                  No. Of tiles = 500 X 400
                  ------------
                  25 X 20
                  = 400

                    No. Of tile = (500 X 400) / (25 X 20) = 400

                      I thought
                      Fig 1 - 1 tile
                      Fig 2 - 1 + 3 = 4
                      Fig 3 - 1 + 3 + 5 = 9
                      Fig 4 - 1 + 3 + 5 + 7 = 16
                      Fig 5 - 1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 25

                      But I like MowMow's method more šŸ˜‰
