I think the key is why a different charge is preferred for Woon. Did Min Shan address that?

Mr Shanmugam also cited six cases between 2004 and 2007, to show that the final result of Dr Wu's case was consistent with the verdict of the Court in those instances - where no jail term was imposed.
i also interested in finding other cases where other people were jailed rather than fined, to show inconsistency πŸ™‚ if don't have, ok. if have that means ms lim is right and shan is wrong.

No end to it hor? He brings up 6 cases in 2004-7, people ask he is doesn’t bring up more. Second guess everything law ministry or AGC does, so many amateur judges on the internet. I mean, AGC must justify to the public every single decision it makes? Explanation already given, people want Shanmugam to do his job or spend his life crafting public replies?

Ms Lim has the opportunity to raise any of those cases, if they existed. Great opportunity for WP to score political points, so why did they not do it? Cases are a matter of public record. My guess, there is nothing to find.

Why is there a witch hunt against Woffles? I mean, I have nothing for or against this guy, but just because he is rich and famous, he needs to be hounded and persecuted to the baying public's satisfaction?

They just wash their hands and walk away, free from all consequences. As Shanmugam says, to pull down and mock is easy, to build up, not so easy.

Such thinking will only breed a species of ignorant people, forever in self-doubt and forever dependent on others for one's own welfare. I find no flaws in the questioning. I did not see mockery either. The person answering the question needs to be more convincing than to accuse the one raising the question of ulterior motive. I am personally surprise at our law minister's retort. Eye-opening indeed.

If I put myself in the shoes of Charlie Lim, I might be asking the same questions. JMHO.

Then it is time to educate them, not to mock them. By mocking them as lay, one looks down and despises and further divides the society. By educating them, and putting forth one's best argument, one earns respect, and sets a positive foot forward, more so if coming from a leader of the state, something that is essential as we continue to strive for a better tomorrow, as a nation.
