PM Lee: What future do you want for Singapore?
-
1) I wish Singaporeans would think about the impact of policy changes before suggesting them and raising a hue and cry when ignored
2) I wish Singaporeans would think before they hit the ‘post’ button on forums
3) I wish Singaporeans would think about getting off their bums and doing something about an issue before complaining about it to ah gong
4) I wish Singaporeans will regain their ‘can-do’ spirit and just get on with getting things done instead of always looking for handouts.
5) I wish Singaporeans would stop this ‘us versus them’ attitude to the foreigners who help build our nation, consume goods and services, and pay taxes. The British welcomed Mo Farah (5K/10K gold winner emigrated from Africa, trained in USA) into their fold, we should do the same to our sportsmen holding red passports.
All definitely OPEN to challenge or debate, no point posting otherwise. -

I actually think its ok to complain to ah gong for valid things, but its only valid after one has made an attempt to understand it fully and made an effort to do something about it.

What I am trying to drive at is blaming ah gong for anything and everything.

1) I feel that govt could do more to convince the pple when implementing policies, and maybe engage in open debate with the pple so as to open to all views before implementing them.1) I wish Singaporeans would think about the impact of policy changes before suggesting them and raising a hue and cry when ignored

I am still very not convinced that privatizing public transport results in better efficiency/performance when there is monopoly and no competition.
2) If think too much, sometime end up not posting.. sometimes I feel don't think too much better.. just hit it....
3) Not sure what can be done? There is little one can do, sometimes..
4) hmm..... This I agree..
5) I feel, the millions as reward for a medal could perhaps be better spend on public assistance scheme? Why do we need to pay so much for a reward? We feed them, pay them, train them, help them get medal and then have to give them a hefty reward when they won a medal and fame for themselves? -
I am doubtful most of the sportsman that took part in Olympic did it for personal glory or national glory…
Althou for countries like China… I would believe most did it for their country… -

I think 90% for themselves. 10% for national glory when being interviewed and on TV but in e end aso for their own publicity. So still 100% for themselves in the end. Perhaps small minority for national glory but the trend is tt many PRC wants out from China.I am doubtful most of the sportsman that took part in Olympic did it for personal glory or national glory..
