Yes indeed needs a lot of patient. We will slowly learn and grow together with our children. Our children grow up and we grow wiser and more patient. Being a mother who cares for the well being of your child, I am sure you will be able to do that.thanks Rejoice137,
I will needs a lot of patient to teach small children. -
Hi Concern_mom,
Welcome to the TGPS forum.
Yes, attending to child - we, as parents, really need to achieve the 3P policy - Patience,Patience and Patience. This is the simplest formula but hard to practise sometimes because we may run out of positive vibes.
That's why we need to get positive energy (feedbacks) from other parents to regain the patient...
Everyday will be a new learning experience as each child is different and special in their own way.
The Learning Support program will help students whom are weak in the subjects and hopefully as they grow along, their interest increase and will become better at all.
All the best to your DD education journey and hope she will likes the TGPS family.
Regards,
Astee -
Hi Astee,
Thank you to you and Rejoice137 for the encouraging words. Do you know when will the learning support program start? -
Hi everyone,
Just for fun, I went for a school visit during June holidays n the Science HOD brought us around the school. He showed us the P1 classrooms n mentioned that not all are on ground level. These classrooms have colourful paintings. He showed us a half classroom n mentioned that the room was for small group teaching when some pupils who are not able to follow their own classes are taken out of their classes to be taught separately. A parent asked n he replied weaker pupils taken out during class time n not after school extra lessons. -
Hi Concern_mum,
I would suggest you check the schedule with the form teacher on the upcoming orientation day as each year, curriculum and schedule is different.
regards,

Hi Concern_mum,
As the school is reviewing the school hour for next year, there will be changes to CCA and remedial classes. So may need to wait a while before we know tithe timing for next year.
For MT classes, the students are separated into different classes based on their ability and progress for the class. My DS has to join students from another class for MT lesson in a different classroom. I find that quite good as he gets to meet up with kids from other classes and expand his social circle too.
Not to worry too much. TGPS has a more relax environment for lower primary school students. They are not stressed by homework or presentation. I am sure your DD will slowly pick up her pace in learning. With your coaching and caring, she will be well taken care off. -
hi Rejoice
good morning. I heard that they have just changed a new principle. -

Are you referring to TGPS principal? The current principal Madam Chua just transferred to TGPS two years ago? A few changes have been implemented since she came. Don't think they will change to a new principal so soon again.
Do you let your DD read stories books? It will help in improving learning ability too. -

Hi mng_kl,
Hi Cmum,CMUM:
Hi rejoice,
TGPS thread has become more and more lively with the new mummies around. How I hope I can also join in.
I personally also prefer to read TGPS threads - moms here are warm and friendly. Before the P1 registration, I have read Mayflower, TV etc... network threads quite bored
It's true, TGPS mummies are very helpful and willing to share. That's why I like to drop by here.

Hi Astee,
Cmum,
Come along to join us in the discussion as and when you have the time/chance. We will be happy to hear how different school manage their curriculum, probably can draw out a Good Practise guideline along the way..haha.
Cheers,
astee
Thanks for the warm welcome!
