I am wondering how long is this year waiting list and is there ranking in the waiting list.

I think only the school mgmt will know. But I think they are quite strict about giving WL, you have to make the cut to be considered.

If you consider the purportedly yearly intake of max 170 (including PSLE). Last 2 year cohort is abt 140 ++ meaning about 30 or more COs not taken up, and this figure also included the WL which means WL are also far few and not many. Only those make the cut are either given CO or WLs so I don't think there are any ranking of WLs.

On bad years.....perhaps 50COs didn't take up the offer and all 30WL got in.
But if there's only 20COs rejected, there must be some selection amongst the 30WLs. Unless.....they really give out only a few WLs.....

DSA only reserved 153 CO and a certain no of WLs + 17 confirmed placing reserve strictly for PSLE posting ( total 170 places). So you can imagine the no of CO not taken up… and not many WLs actually offered… if not the intake figure would have look better.

Hi, did anyone’s DC enter NUSH via PSLE results, but did not get through the selection test? Are they able to cope with the curriculum? Thanks

                    Hi AslMum,

I do not have a DC that enter NUSH via PSLE results. However, during the NUSH tea reception recently, I spoke w a boy (4th Year in NUSH). He was rejected in the selection test during his year, however, he got in w his own merits through PSLE results. I did check w him how he is doing and he is doing fine. All I can say for him is that he is really determined to get into NUSH and he did it! My kudos to him!

I am not sure about this but I heard that if a child did not get pass through the selection test but applied through PSLE, NUSH does look at the fact they did go through the selection test.

                    Hope this helps! :salute:

I think DC should have A* for Maths and A* for Science.
