thanks ben for ur tips. we’ve listed out a few choices but am not sure which to place 1-6. we’re thinking of putting pasir ris crest 1st choice, 2nd coral sec. and junyuan being the last choice. the rest that we are considering would be bedok south, damai, east spring, greenview and tampines sec. so out of these 5 which are the better ones to place as 3rd 4th or 5th?

Coroner's hearing of teen suicide pact begins
By Seet Sok Hwee, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 07 September 2009 2210 hrs
SINGAPORE: Two boys who jumped nine storeys to their death in August last year did it because they were convinced that they could come back to life with the ability to slay demons and save the world.
The tragic incident took place at Blk 667, Jalan Damai in the wee hours of August 23.
The Coroner's Court heard on Monday that Ku Witaya and Sia Chan Hong, who were classmates at Tampines Secondary School, had planned a suicide pact with six other friends. The eight friends were between 13 and 18 years old.
But one person reportedly backed out of the plan and five others ran away after seeing their friends fall to their death.
Ku, a medium, is said to have told his friends two months before the incident that he would come back to life with extraordinary powers.
The hearing continues.

If you have done according to the suggestions, you should visit the schools to see if the schools are \"your taste\". http://singapore.math-chinese-tutor.com/contact-us/ if you need opinions about the schools you mention. -

You should consider sending your daughter to a all-girls' school. There are currently 12 band 1 schools and 6 of them are all-girls' school.I went to AHS about 11+ but was told by the security guard that the sports open house was over and the office was also closed. So there cant be any sharing of info by their students or teachers. My DD is concerned about the religious aspect as my family are free thinkers. Could any AHS students or alumni here shed any lights on this?
We then went to Cedar and I was generally impressed by the students and new buildings/facilities. However I think the student guide was probably too tired and didnt share much info. I asked my DD what she thought and she said \"boriinngg!\" :stupid: :faint:
After Cedar, we went to Ximin and the 1st thing we did was to attend the principal's talk. I really like what I heard e.g. rationale behind learning Literature, Xinovate Lab etc. Interestingly, while the Lab impressed me alot with the advanced facilities and innovative teaching concept, my daughter and her close friend couldnt appreciate. I wonder how many parents face this type of situations.
Well, we still have TKGS to check out and as usual, welcome any advice and recommendations of other good schools.

KSer:
my girl got agg of 223 but we're having problems choosing a sec sch becoz we stay in the east in tampines but this agg is not gd enough for schs like ngee ann and st. hilda's coz of the 230+ agg which used to be one of her choices. The schs around us are either too low or too high to aim for, hence we would appreciate some help from you guys. thks!
KSer, would you consider Hai Sing? Pasir Ris Crest is getting stronger based on their banding results and personally, I think the school is one of the better neighbourhood schools. (my son was in their sec1 class.) -

Thanks for the advice, blesseddad. I want her to go girls school and i mentioned that in my 1st post. However, I am limiting the choices by distance as I dont want to spend too much time travelling. So currently, my girl school choices are Cedar and TKGS, but she prefers a co-ed school like AHS.
