      Dynamite:
My son is currently in SJI Junior and I have a daughter going to P1 in 2014. Does anyone know if SJI Junior is affiliated to any girl's school?

      Hi Dynamite

SJIJ is not affiliated to any girl's school. If you are staying near SJIJ, I will advise to try for St Margaret, or if you want Catholic schools, try for CHIJ Toa Payoh or Marymount.

        Hi all

My DS will be starting Pri 1 next year. Will there be any e-learning or activities which will require him to have an iPad or tablet? Or will any laptop or PC suffice? We currently own a MacBook only and wonder whether this will be ok as we do not want to be caught off-guard at the last minute…

Thanks in advance for your advice!

          Hi Demure

Welcome to the SJIJ’s family. There is an e-learning once or twice a year, just home pc is good enough…

            Hi,

Anyone knows what is the agenda like at the orientation in Nov?
Heard that some schools actually give a mini-test to facilitate grouping of kids into classes. Is this true for SJIJ?
            TIA!!!

No such thing in SJIJ from what I know. Grouping of classes for P1 is according to the birth month of your son (if they did not change it). My son's year was group in the birth month way, for eg; if your son was born in April, most of his classmates were be April kids.

                    Hi All,

My DS will be in P1 next year and am thinking of placing him into Derbyshire Kindergarten. Any comments or review (good/bad) about this after school care centre? The fee is about $420/mth…

The location and proximity to school is good. Currently not more than 5 Pri students.

School bus available to arrange back home transportation.

If has such mini-test, i think those parents can inform our Minister Heng to address this too.
