So sad. The sensitively written tribute to this wonderful boy made me cry too. My heart goes out to his family for the loss of this very fine boy. Rest in peace, BL. -

Heard he was sick on yr 2, can go on to yr 4 is an achievement in that circumstances! Guess he must have loved his school very much and missing it, ā RIP, BL.

Paddy Field:
Paddy Field, my DS is keen coz 1/3 of his class signed up for it. I think he saw it as a vacation trip with his buddies. Anyway he says that come next year, if they were to indicate interest in the trip again, they will be given priority.Firefly, my DS was interested in e Taiwan trip. Haha dunno why also but I saw the itinerary n i must admit that it looks quite fun. But anyway none of the Yr 1 was chosen.
Jtoh, it is a 10-day trip. -

Hi leeven
1. My DS will be looking for Debate . Non CCAs (Euler/Galileo) & Maths Club. :?verykiasu2010:
basically for core CCA - certain sports, every one is scheduled to be trialed and sort of ranked/grouped. If you are deemed to fit the sports and has potential, you are encouraged to put it as first choice.
after all the trials for sports and audition for others like choir etc are done, you rank your nine choices online and choices must include selections in every category
the computerised system will process the CCA selection and results will be made know. Hence it is often said it is the CCA that chooses you, not the other way round. Of course there are appeal procedures etc
everyone must have a core CCA, merit CCA are optional
CCA Fairs is held at end of orientation
2. Do all kids allowed to Participate in SMO,SChO, SPhO,SBO,NOI etc or only who in Euler/Galileo/Maths Club are allowed. :?
Also
My boy is not good in sport, so can he only choose Chess under merit CCA instead? :scratchhead: -
