Anyone knows... Does CCA start from p1? What CCAs are available as it seems that most are school team/ by invitation.

Hi, CCA does not start from P1. But P1 students are offered some of the followings as enrichment activities after school:
1. Chess
2. Table Tennis
3. Wushu
4. Track and Field

There are other sports as well but I cannot recall.

Thanks for the info! 🙂
Mmm... The enrichment doesnt sound so exciting
I think compared to many other schools, Nanhua has many more activities for P1. 🙂

There are enrichment activities during curriculum time too. My ds did gymnastics during curriculum time at P1 (not part of PE). There are some IT courses and cooking lesson coming up in term 4.

You may want to choose Choir as NHPS Choir Team Clinched Gold Award in Singapore Youth Festival 2012! Also, our current principal is quite keen in performing arts like Chinese Dance etc.

For sports, you might want to choose Table Tennis or Volleyball (our niche). If you are thinking in line with DSA in P6, then I would like to recomend Table Tennis. Table Tennis being one of the popular sports in top secondary schools. A few of our girls has gained entry into RGS and NYGH via DSA using Table Tennis although they are in mainstream. I would nomally encourage parents to start in P1 or even before P1 as this is the best age to kickstart Table Tennis. If you are interested, you may want to come down for the school training on Monday and Thursday (in term 4) and talk to the coach.

Actually, it all depends on your dd interest. You may want to take a look at the school website for a feel of the CCA in the school. If you need any further clarifications, feel free to drop me a mail.

I would like to know any parent whose child is under the student care in School. What is a typical day like in the student care? Will the child get to shower? What kind of lunch being provided? Does any child take school bus back home from the student care? Thank you very much in advance.

Dun think they provide time for shower. Lunch is quite routine like fried rice, fishball noodles but can take more than 1 portion, sandwiches or biscuits & drinks provided for tea break. I think there are bus services (I have seen them) but I'm not sure what are the details because I pick mine up after work as we stay quite far away.

Thank you very much, dagong99. It is indeed informative for me. I'll call the school transportation agent up.

My child is currently studying in Nan Hua and is now P6. The Nan Hua teachers are great and teach quite well . 😄 For your information, if you want to be a parent volunteer, you can actually go online to the school website to get the form. 🤷 Hope this can help!
