oh dear.. if m in ur shoe.. i dont tell her anything. no need to reason to her.. if i tink her replacement is better (cross all toes n fingers).. give her 30mins to pack n send her bk home/agent

Sure! I felt much better now ! My dd having PSLE soon and hubby not ard ! Do not know what to do ! Glad that there are KS parents to pour all my worries . 😄

My maid of 8 yrs suppose to go back I'm Nov, had a chat with her & she still wants to come back after home leave , std : i give increment & off but most of all she adores my son who is in now P4, Thank goodness I have one thing to worry less. My dd also taking PSLE too. My comments are if the maid doesnt feel as if she is part of your family & always over write you, difficult. With bf & FB .. No no.. Like us they get addicted to their serial & sleep , no energy to work. Mine is already 36, I prefer older maids, they understand life better.
You all are right ! Out of curiosity , I went to FB to search her name and found her. I ' m very puzzled cos she posted those are weekdays afternoon, evening and night . She hands her 2 phone to me and I'm thinking how she got access ? There , I found another smart phone in the drawer ! Now I am convince to send her bk and confirm the new helper who is older .
She has broken my trust ! :slapshead

Dear parents, need help here. Is it possible for an agency not to have the work permit number of the maids they’re representing? One agency I called told me that they didn’t represent the maid when she was in singapore, so they won’t be able to have her wp until they apply for her to come to singapore.

          Got such things?

Now looking for maid. This time, I die die want those with ex Saudi Experience and who are preferably in their thirties. I’m wondering if 40 is too old?

          Thanks!

If the maid hasn't given them the WP number then they probably wouldn't have it. The question is why hasn't she given it to them?

Hi, it's all luck when it comes to maid. some from ex-HK claim they are very experienced but end up as good as not trained before.

Unfortunately in S'pore the law are pro-maids. Maybe you can assess her during interview by really asking her to go into details how she go about doing her chores. Eg wiping table top, does she tell you that she wipes the whole house without a rinse of the cloth? Or washing clothes, what is the first step? Does she empty all the pocket first and sort the colour and whites? Or she just simply dump everything together?

From her answers, you should be able to tell you if she's good.

I think so, my 2 current helpers are ex-saudi... very hardworking, hygienic, well mannered, independent and very observant too...the 1st one was practically doing all of my household works from the 2nd day onward; fast learner, I was too lazy to teach, told her just do whatever she deemed fit, and she surprised me. The second one is demure, very willing to work with the first one, not as independent, but hardworking and reliable. (before this I had endless problems of my 2 maids fighting, :nailbite: )

My maid was from myanmar ($330), After few months she secretly bought a handphone during one of her holidays. Then she ask for increment bcos she compare with neighbors maid who had been working for six years drawing $550. Her main job is to push my motherinlaw (on wheelchair) to the park to do exercise every morning and evening, change diapers and cook for her, and moping floor and washing clothes…she does not need to cook for the family. Becos my motherinlaw already get used to her, i increase her salary to $400, even gave her $200 for her granny funeral.

Lately she has been always on the phone, one ear on hp listening to music and one talking to friend. She always ask to go provision shop to buy tobacco to chew. I tolerated her bcos of old folk at home. She even lied when i caught her not moping the floor in the morning and worse still, wash her clothes and ours together in the washing machines. When confronted that she has not been concentrating on her works…she would show black face and shouted back that she wants to go back.
I am even more angry when my husband said that u go get a replacement yourself otherwise i have to keep her. My maid was laughing when she heard this. Today i confirm a xfer maid from indonesia, can start work nx weeks. NEVER NEVER get myanmar maids…they are stubborns…prouds…and asshole…ops sorry.

Never let the maid hear any conversation you have with family members about her.

Luckily you have a new maid coming in cos this current maid will 100% have no respect for you after hearing what your hubby said.

All the best, old folks are just as vulnerable as children.
