I asked dd1 to think about the topic and what she wish to write. Then along the way I posed qns to help her along, using How, What, When, Why, Where and Who.

U can help her to collect some objects around her to have a more concrete visualization meaning like if it is a beach picture She can look for shells around which will help her to have better understanding of the concept, sunscreen, beach wear, maybe talk of some food or drink n then help her to build up the sentence.

My boy has journal writing weekly.. like short composition... cos only 5-8 sentences..

Like sahm, I will guide him along by asking question to keep him thinking...

Used to depend onme to construct the sentence for him.. Now he is better... will construct .. check with me.. before he pen it down..

Ya best to get them writing on their own, I’m not worried abt the quality now. I just want dd1 to get into the habit of writing a piece on her own
