Anyone know if I volunteer in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, am I eligible to apply for any school in this area under phase 2B? Or I have to go to the RC that’s nearest to the school’s zone?


Also, is it too late to be a GRC volunteer now if registration is in 2014? How do I apply to be one?

Hi, are you a PR? If yes then you will have no chance at popular school even at 2B. You should go to the nearest RC cos the RC that is nearest to the school might be in a different GRC.

Ref from your profile, you should volunteer at Choa Chu Kang.
If the school you wanted is in Holland Bukit Timah GRC then they will not accept you as RC member even if you applied.

This forum is under \"Primary Schools - Selection & Registration\", what motive do you expect? Grassroots advisers (aka MP) are paid very well to do community works yet volunteers like us are not, so it's rightful that we get something non-monetary in returns, after putting in time and effort and sacrificing time with family. Though starting motive may not be so pure, we do hope in the process, these parents do find joys and fulfilment in doing community works and hopefully they will stay on after initial years or getting what they want. My personal philosophy. Cheers!

Some person become grossroot leader in order to secure a place in 2B admissions for there kids. Once the kid gets admission, they stop the grossroot activtity. Is this ethical? Why does PAP not stop this activity?
