      GLORYmum:
      Hello all,

I tried with my zojishiro breadmaker by following faithfully the exact proportion of liquid and flour but the bread usually ends up quite dry. When i increased the liquid proportion, it became too soggy. any advice?
Glorymum, you use the recipe given by the manufacturer izzit? I personally don't like their recipe that much.
Try this recipe. (if too much, can half it)
      270g bread flour
      30g cake flour
      1 tsp sugar
      1/2 tsp salt
      170ml milk
      1 tsp yeast
1 tbsp butter (about 14g,cut into cubes) I use salted butter.
Put as per bread machine recommended sequence.

I am using the Z brand machine as my kitchen is very small. The Z machine size is great. What I think lacking in the Z Machine is the button for just bake only. The rest of the functions are alright but the price a bit steep. Oh one more thing, if you use the cookie dough function for 2 cycles you will need to wait for the machine to cool down for about 20mins before you can select another function.
My friend is using Cosway bread machine think was less than $200 bought from Malaysia.

I wonder if anyone uses panasonic breadmaker? A friend of mine in the UK swears by it, and she said sheโ€™s tried other breadmakerโ€ฆ but suffice to say that after her husband took the first bite from the first bread from panasonic, his comments were "it was worth the extra 50 pounds!! (they paid for it).

Ohโ€ฆ can someone share with me a sweet bun recipe?

                      Hi,

This thread is hot! Anyone can advise whether can use mixer to do bread? As can knead the dough with the mixer and oven to bake?

If yes, kindly recommend what brand and model u are using?

                      Thanks!

                      Mum22

I have a Philips brand mixer. It says can do cake mixes and bread doughs. However, having used it once to make a bread dough, I thought the mixer sounded overworked - the cake mix is liquid form, while the bread dough is, DOUGH! That being said, I suppose those heavy duty ones like Kitchen Aid and Kenwood should be able to deal with the doughs?
