i was guilty of those questions myself: why your friend in scgs and tkgs can score so many As ah?
only when i saw the papers, then I 'humbled' myself :heresmyfish:
thanks for your encouragement !
now.
ValYap and En-joy: Luckily, my dd is not the type who love to compare and compete (for the moment), she likes to go with the flow. So, maybe she won't feel too stressed out.
Another issue - just the mere thoughts that I will be seeing her very much less compare to primary school is freaking me out. :scared: I'm beginning to miss my baby. This sounds sadist - dd so sick last night and couldn't sleep due discomfort, and she cried like a baby (something that she has not done for a very long time). I actually felt so happy that I could cuddle and rock her to sleep! Really shudder to think of next year when she matures a lot - will she let me rock her to sleep again.

Hahaha...you'll get used to it. All of us do...especially with the support here! :grphug:
Initially, I found the changes a bit hard to adapt to as well.
Used to seeing DD at home the whole afternoon on most days when she was in P6...
But come sec 1, for the 1st 2 terms, she was hardly home before 6pm.
There was 3rd lang, house practices and to top it all, DD has 2 CCAs.
Dinner time has become extra special cos it's about the only time the whole family gets to sit down together and find out what's happening in one another's lives.
Yes, hard for Mummies to let go...but we'll manage, somehow...
And seeing the baby steps our DDs take towards independence, maturity...
Ah...the pride!
Oh, you can still do the cuddling...
Every holiday, my DD will ask to sleep with me!
Yes, despite the wings being stronger...she's still my baby! -

Your dd is so sweet! -
My DD will sometimes lean on me for hugs.
Most of the time when I do sleep with her in the same room and I try to have pillowtalk with her, her reply is: mommy I am so tired, can you please let me sleep!
Poor baby, used to sleep more than 9 hrs in P6, and now abt 7 hours or less -
sometimes, i get heartaches that DDβs life is βhardβ compared to her friends in other sec schools.
any parents feel the same? -
En-joy:
That's the advantage of being a mummy and not daddy - still get to sleep :snooze: with dd and have pillow talk :rahrah:My DD will sometimes lean on me for hugs.

based on rumours (or real?) - some only sleep 4 hours, so 7 hours is still not so bad, right? -
haha
I dun do well with 7 hours of sleep myself
Yes, daddy does not even get hugs now from DD now, have to rely on small DD
:hugs: -
cluelessmama:
I believe those who get only 4 hours sleep are those who procrastinate or spend too much time on facebook or e-games and leave their homework/projects to the last minute.

My dd slept at 10pm regularly in Year 1 and that was inclusive of me-time - ie time set aside for leisure reading, games, unwinding etc. And she had a very busy CCA plus 3rd lang plus other school and non-school activities. It all boils down to how you manage your time. -
Yes agree wholeheartedly with you; its about time management and stamina.
always tell DD: its not how hard you study, its how effective you study.
if she is distracted with music, sms, facebook etc, studying 3 hours instead of 1 hour, time is wasted not resting nor sleeping
still in the process of driving this message thru... hope she realises it sooner than later :xedfingers:
