      MotherHen:
DD will be joining RGS next year. We are both really looking forward to this new stage in her life.

Mummy here, however, is also a bit apprehensive about the (perceived) workload 😓 . Read somewhere that Year 1's will be learning Sec 3 curriculum? Just wondering if tuition is common in RGS, or if the girls try to cope on their own. I would much rather my girl not rely on tuition.
:welcome: to the Raffles family, MotherHen and DD.

      Workload is manageable...dun need tuition.
Can save the $$$ and go for longer holidays. 😉

          Welcome mother hen & cluelessmum,

just enjoy & have fun , DD play hard too... time mgt is critical. watching TV, reading story books and dance class at community centre during Tuesday's evening. no issues to GPA. Generally, time mgt… don't waste time in Facebook, DD sleeps around 10pm to 10.30pm…. UNLEss….. project work with team….

The gals will manage , no worries! Just give them some space to manage their own,…. guide them only if u think intervention is needed. They are all high achievers. :rahrah: :rahrah: TRust the gals, the will get used to the Rafflesian lifestyle!… Have fun, relax…. don't sweat over small things... :snuggles:

Thank you all RGS mummies for your warm welcome and reassuring words :grphug:

DD wants to continue with her piano and ballet classes, plus keen to take up 3rd language. I shudder to think of wat life wld be like if, on top of longer school hours, she has to go for tuition.

Will tell her to go learn, make friends and have fun. MotherHen here will simply \"jaga\" and make sure she manages her time well 😄

her life will be full of fun and activities, one after another ( and strings of achievements to follow) ...... this will be the best time in her life, not to be repeated (you won't want too) ..... but why tuition ?

MotherHen must make sure no rooster come and disturb disturb the little chick..... :rotflmao:

No problem continuing with ballet and piano classes. Many RGS girls take music, dance, racket games and water sports lessons. Like I mentioned before, RGS girls don't just study study study. They play hard too. 🙂

I've always felt that end of primary school = end of tuition, by secondary school should be independent and study on their own. Then got regaled with all sorts of \"horror stories\" and well-meaning advice to chope tuition place. I'm like urghh.... Now, will shut my ears so will hear no evil 😂

As for the other issue, well, MotherHen will happily grill any rooster that come disturb disturb little chick now

That's why i forbid my DD to have a FB account now, although she whines that many of her friends already have one.

Honestly tho, I think it's inevitable that she'll eventually have FB, most likely after PSLE....
