Paul put some animals into 3 groups, X,Y,and Z, as shown in the table below
Group X: grasshopper, sparrow
Group Y: Bee, Bat
Group Z:Shhark, Turtle

my guess is group X because they share the same (3 stages) life cycle and bothof them can fly and hop

I would also choose X.

He should measure the temperature of the milo in the three containers.Yes,you are right.Because, the dependent variable is the temperature of the milo.

Can someone advise me - this question about tap root system and fibrous root system - which theme in those Science book is relevant for reading and finding the answers? My child said he never study before.

When we breathe out (flat balloon), the diaphragm (rubber sheet) moves up...
picture 4 is consistent to this.

pic 1 : diaphragm pushed up means exhale, so balloons should be deflated. (wrong since balloons show inflated)
pic 2 : diaphragm pushed down means inhale, so balloons should be inflated. (wrong since balloons show deflated)
pic 3 : no movement of diaphragm being pushed down, so balloons should not be inflated.
pic 4 : diaphragm pushed up means exhale, so balloons should be deflated. (correct since balloons show deflated)

not too sure if any teacher would teach this but i'm quite sure it does not belong to any topics learnt..

heard from my dd sci teacher, ad-hoc questions that may not have been learnt at all can be tested randomly... most impt is the students' inference skills, able to infer what they have learnt and to apply on these \"new\" questions. this is one of those..
