We're slowly starting to see the impact after the reduction of FW. The number of cleaners (in ST today) has decreased and residents may have to do their own cleaning, which many are of course reluctant.
Also the conservancy and maintenance fees will soon increase.

They are again not listening or selective listening..

Who's complaining about the FW? It's a fact they we need them..

It is the PMET FTs that pple are unhappy about.. they result in competition and wage suppression..

They should take in only real talents.. instead of mass import of cheap PMETs.

You may not be complaining about FW but a whole lot of others are. They are saying FW contribute to the congestion in MRTs and buses. They don't like to see them loitering around their void decks. They are saying they do not like to be served by non-english speaking service staff. They are saying all the recent bus accidents are caused by foreign bus drivers. They are saying because of these foreign workers, local people who work that line are getting their wages suppressed.

I believe d logic behind d change is trainees n soldiers shd be spending their limited time during NSF undergoing training instead of wasting dat time on area cleaning, change parades, polishing boots n ironing uniforms (which they hv also done away with).

Disagree.. All these is also a form of training. It is all rounded training.

In times of war, expect someone to do the area cleaning for the soldier? or let base camp turn into rubbish dump?

or maybe the govt can mass import Filipino maids and assign 1 to each soldier..

They can help to carry full pack during fire movements while the soldiers focus on pulling the trigger of the rifle ONLY..... less all the burden..

Also at MRT stations, I see long queues at the counter that is manned , but not many go to the top-up machines.Why huh?

If only they can encourage GIRO top-up (instead of imposing service charge), they don't even need so many GTMs! Less electricity and maintenance too..

If the Govt wanna go towards cashless society.. they should hv incentives to encourage GIRO.. maybe waive the transaction fee for min $50 top ups etc..
