Your third day sounds very packed! We actually spent one full day at op, leaving only at about 6.30pm. Not sure if you will have time to go the peak, unless you planning to do it after sunset.

So appreciate suggestion on food around tst and shopping.
Itinerary will be first two days disneyland, third day op, peak, star ferry, symphony of lights. Fourth day morning will like to eat nice stuff before checking out.
Heard about roast goose. Any recommendation around tst? My thanks in advance.

Not sure about tst, but I like the roast goose at Yung Kee at Central. Reservation recommended.
For good ol HK cha chan ting breakfast, I like Tsui Wah. You can find it everywhere so could be a gd bf place before you leave. Just google it to see if there is one near your hotel. Disneyland hotel's Chinese restaurant have gd Disney shaped Tim sum.

how long did you spend at OP? we intend to go early - 10am opening right?
we have plan A and B.
Plan A, if we leave OP at 3ish, we will proceed to Peak (try their tram) and then detour to ferry terminal (yet to check out which terminal) and take a star ferry (read that 'must try' leh) across and stroll at Avenue of stars for the Symphony of lights. hotel is within walking distance at TST.
Plan B, if we leave OP at 5ish/6, we do the above but skip the Peak.

we will be staying at disney hollywood for one night and transfer to tst at 9pm, so 2 dinners there. broke..... :scared:

we will be travelling on MTR from TST to admiralty for OP.

all other short distance travel (only from admiralty to star ferry terminal/peak, or/and peak to ferry terminal), we intend to go by foot (if around MTR) or cab.
still need to get Octopus card?

We reached OP at about 11am. Star Ferry is a must do but I wasn't too impressed by the symphony of lights. OP has a big sitting area and many counters for ordering food, including Mac. Bit like our hawker centre. Not difficult to find seat. We had 4A2C. I find that it's more convenient to get the Octopus card as you can also use it for star ferry. We didn't take cab at all throughout our HK trip. There's also a tourist card that you can consider buying, which includes airport express and free travel on MTR for 3 days (i think). See if it's worthwhile buying that instead. You can ask at the MTR counter at airport.

Let me share with you my Disney savings tip. We did it in 2010. Not sure if it still works.

We went during a value season. Bought an annual pass for one child. The rest had the buy one day play 2 days promo. The cost of the annual pass is slightly more than the one day ticket, but it comes with room discount at Disney hotels. The room discount was more than the extra amount we paid for the pass. With annual pass, we get discount at Disney restaurants and shopping too. I remember that I got my sons to bring their student pass. The Disney reservation told me she could give them child price ticket with student pass even though my oldest boy was already 13. Go to the Disney website to check the annual pass prices and room rates and do your math. It is worth the trouble. :). Remember child annual pass is cheaper than adult so get the child one. One annual pass for the whole group is gd enough. Check out the Disney website for promo meal packages too. Also if you want to do a character meal, the seasonal one at Disney Hollywood hotel is cheaper then the regular ones at Disneyland hotel. Not sure if they'll have it when you are there. At Disneyland hotel, breakfast cheaper than dinner. There are also promos and coupons for annual pass holders sometimes.

We went in June which is low season so there was lots of promo available
Enjoy yourself at Disney! I am a Disney fanatic and plan compulsively for all my Disney trips be it to Disneyworld or HK Disneyland.

You must try taking the tram when you are in the Central area. To experience more of their public transport, take the Star Ferry fr TST to Central, then take the public tram (only HK2 per person) to somewhere near Bank of China where you can line up for tickets up Victoria’s Peak. We waited more than an hour just to get the tickets to Victoria’s Peak on a Saturday afternoon…


Alternatively, when you are done with shopping at Central and visiting Victoria’s Peak, take the public tram to Causeway Bay where there’s lots of shopping as well. Be warned that the trams can be crowded with many foreign domestic workers on Sat and Sundays. hehehe… but it’s fun

When we were there, we took cabs only because it was cheaper or about the same to take cabs for 5 people than to take MTR. Same as cabs to hotel. Also as DD was only 3+ then, I wanted to save her energy for the actual shopping and touring

But we did try the tram once and DD enjoyed it
