Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]

Having their students skip their O levels and enter straight into RJC, i assume that the school’s internal assessments are pretty stringent.
Can anyone tell me the retention rates every year? Or does the school try its best to promote everyone? I heard something about them stubbornly refusing to promote an academically capable student, but who missed a lot of school last year, deciding to retain her instead? -

I have heard of students getting retained but i don't think the teachers do it unless you don't hand in your assignments on purpose or just decide to skip the exams. Usually they try to be lenient, saying they don't want to see us for another year:PHaving their students skip their O levels and enter straight into RJC, i assume that the school's internal assessments are pretty stringent.

ahem… move on….case closed, respect the school, it was supposed for her best interest for her during that time…though many appealed. Move on……

I helped appeal too! But i don't think it's nice to mention it here and anyway it's already been decided so that's right, we should move on -
Sorry if i touched on a sensitive topic…
If anyone interpreted it as me wanting to bring an old topic up, that was not my intention at all.
Rather, I was merely just trying to get an idea of the retention rates at Raffles… -

Why the curiosity then?Sorry if i touched on a sensitive topic..

Do you have a DD in RGS or a younger child intending to study in RGS? -
MummySTay:

But why the hostility? Even if i didn't, i didn't think it would be wrong to just ask.
in any case, i wasn't trying to bring that particular issue up.. -

even Dunman High acknowledge that the school offers one class of O level track for the students who slackened along the way.
RGS doesn’t have mah? -
