My last few trips there were like almost 15years ago lol.
This time i'm bringing my 2 kids along & for 9 days. yes cosmetics & skincare is very cheap if u using their brand. Happycall pan also abit cheap but need to handcarry onboard if u claiming tax refund.
since its autumn, i guess for clothes wise wont be that applicable but can still grab some & wear there. Ewha uni is a good place to shop for cheap ladies wear. Other markets will be the usual Dongdaemum (cater more for the young) & Namdaemun. What do u intend to buy? -

Some chapalang stuff that we bought from Seoul.... We visited the lotte supermarket that is near nandemum and some train station. I like their 冬粉for the qq texture. Those are expensive in korea supermarket in Spore. We also bought lots of seaweed from the supermarket. dh also bought red ginseng however no one eats it. Xin noodles is also popular there but we didn't as that is too bulky.Hi mummies here,
my husband and i would like to plan for a trip to Seoul this November. Would anyone be kind to share where and how can we go about free and easy?
I'm bringing my dd only for this trip, leaving the 2 other ds with my parents. Any suggestions?
thanks in advance.
Le sportsac is quite cheap there. There is a duty free shop in myeong dong. Can't recall if it is under lotte or... They sell branded stuff at duty free price. Quote in USD. -

Hi,hi MMM,

Not sure about agnes b.
Is this lotte hotel in myeong dong? If so, I think it's near the duty free. Actually I was thinking if it is the same building as the duty free. You might like to find out more.
If this is the hotel i mentioned, it is not near the lotte supermarket. Gosh... I think I am getting old. The lotte supermarket is near some central train station. But it's not far from lotte hotel as in few stations away.
We did a lot of walking in Seoul. We actually walked from dongdaemun to myeong dong and then to our hotel at Fraser Place. We saw it as a way to explore Seoul. So we actually lost weight from all the walking in Seoul.... good exercise.
My dh prefers walking to train.... Recently in NY, we walked at least 60+ streets (from our hotel in times square to ground zero). He will make us walk long distance every day. Till a point that dd and I wanted to surrender.... -

now that mmm has mentioned, seaweed is very cheap too
& the Xin noodle, i remember back then i bought a BOX back coz its very ex here. i'm not sure abt the tax rebate, too lazy to read up though u can get the info from KTO webby. as long there's some rebate, i'm pretty much happy liao
from your hotel, the lotte mart is just 1 stop away at cityhall station. i'm staying at metro hotel, diagonally across from u.
so shiok, can extend 2 nights in HK
i'm also familiar in Hk as i used to work there. actually i wanted to take cx too, can extend on the way back & bring my kids to disneyland but hubby feels trip is abit long & kids will be too tired. i really missed Hk, hv not been there for almost 5 years!!! -

hi MMM,
thks for your advice… walking is really a good way to explore the country, and since i’m also taking free and easy, i’ll definitely do that… -
hi mummychia,
seaweed is a must, just that not sure which one tastes the best… plan to buy small packs to try on the spot and buy the best one…
