      GLORYmum:

I have been wondering if this is good or bad?? Or father knows and rules it all better ??
There should not be a fixed way...have to manage by circumstances or issues because no one is right all the time. Swinging to either extreme is not ideal.

            qms:
            Quoted from TODAY:

Responding to Mr Heng's comments, Madam Serene Ong - the mother involved in the hair-cut incident - told TODAY that she went ot the police to file a \"personal record\" only after calling the MOE and on being told that it would be fine to go to the police.Mdm Ong said:\"There is no absolute right or wrong in this matter but as a parent, ther should be a courtesy call from the teacher first before cutting my son's hair. We would like to work with the teachers but it also takes two hands to clap.\"

Why didn’t the mother file a report with Education minister? Before her son’s NS enlistment, will MINDEF minister have to remind her to send her son to have a haircut? Wait, no need, army does it FOC.

But providing leeways are encouraging extremists eh?[/quote]Not exactly leeways. Most things would have been given a framework guideline to manage otherwise it is also too tedious to manage everything case by case. However, in the absence of this, people must manage the exceptions sufficiently especially if there is a dispute.

the mother is just too extreme!!

she’s making her son embarrassed in front of his peers… others may tease him about his hair and all those about having the mum to come to school to settle for her…

other teachers may also distant this child due to the extreme behaviour of his mum… she is ruining his son’s childhood in a way…!!
