One girl at P4 withdrew because moved to Pasir Ris. The next day, a boy from North Vista came to take her place. That’s pretty fast.
Preparing testimonies are kid’s job. A panel of 4 teachers from each level representative to do all the interviews. A capable person who is interested in climbing corporate ladder will find this is EASY job. WORK SMART not WORK HARD. -
Time table 2013 is out in the website.
School starts 7:40am, reach sch by 7:30am. Dismissal 1:50pm with 3 recesses.
Next yr my kid will be in the critical year, everyday will dismiss at 4:15pm. This is affecting all the enrichment classes. -
Can anyone understand the Mon-Fri timetable?
http://www.rivervalepri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=1173681
The school website stated that school ends at 1.50pm. However in the table 1.25-1.50pm is lunch for P6. Does it mean the child have to settle lunch in school if there is no remedial? Or they can leave school at 1.25pm on Wed and Fri when there is no redemial for days like Wed and Fri. -
I don’t understand the time table as well. But looking at P5 and P6 time table, the dismissal time looks like 415pm everyday.
May be the plan is not fixed yet. It is just a rough idea which is good. So that people like me will plan all external enrichment either in the evening or night or weekend liao. -
make corrections:
official dismissal time is 1:50pm (only Wed will dismissed at this time)
Remedial classes will end at 3:45pm
CCA will end by 4:15pm
1 period = 40 mins
every fri 7:40 - 9am is CCA time. Teachers are having meeting. Asking parents volunteer to take over CCA -
friendship:
Yes, that's what I interpreted too. But not sure if Fri is also long day since no remedial is written in the 2.15-3.45pm slot. Or perhaps it is a day with normal lesson till 3.45pm.make corrections:

But I can't understand the CCA from 7.40-9am. My dd does not have anymore CCA, then what does she do during that time.....?? -
The sch is having ‘healthy diet’ theme.
Goodness! the so-called Care Monitors do not even know how to exercise their duties logically.
The Care Monitors are forcing students to eat rotten apples and drink laksa/fishball soup till the bowl is empty. If any kid got stomachache or food poisioning, MOE has to explain. Going to write to MOE for explanation on this.
Deploy teachers during recess. Any kid doesn’t want to eat certain fruits due to not fresh, should refer to the teacher for further assessment on the fruits or food.
Some stalls are serving apples which had been kept for many days, NOT fresh. The kids wanted to throw away, some prefects are already writing down names and do not accept their explanations. The prefects go to certain extent ‘guide’ all the rubbish bins including toilets.
So ridiculous. -
Heard Rivervale Primary had organised the moon cake festival last Saturday. Can any ksp feedback what are the activities abt?

Care monitors and prefects are basically receiving instructions to act accordingly. The school canteen food, in my opinion, are already miserable. Some students have brought their home food all these while. Now with implementing "forcing students to eat" will only create unhappiness. I wonder the leadership himself will force himself to empty the soup and eat rotten or unfresh fruits? Recess should be a time of enjoyment and fellowship with friends and not stress over issues like that. Prefects should be performing leadership roles and not "jaga" rubbish bins or toilets. A joke!!! I witnessed upper primary students staying back for remedial or CCA went over to RV mall to eat and were caught and confronted by the discipline master with harsh words if they were to go to the mall then don’t come back. Did the school take notice why students don’t eat in the school canteen? To make students eat, the school should "revamp" its canteen food to make it appealing and appetising to students. Without force, students will automatically "eat"! No need whatever "bento set".

Mooncake festival celebration is a yearly event in RV. There will be performances, games, haunted house etc, nothing great.
