  must yin shui si yuan! Next year at the school anniv celebration, we'll book 1 table for entire family of parents/siblings/spouses. šŸ˜‰

PS: I also support TKGS (my girl's alma matar) and RI (speaks for itself..no need to advertise)

PPS: But to be honest, when I first started working, I was kinda embarassed to tell ppl I was from that kampung school.. not prestigious at all. But this is no longer the case. Now I go round telling ppl that BPGHS is the best school in the West.

PPS: I even emailed the current principal for not prominently announcing the school's fantastic achievements on their home page. How can they expect ppl to click achievements then science. tsk tsk tsk.
Ha ha ha , very funny...

I told your VP someone is activily promoting BPGH in website, must gv you medal..

I think I am more concerned abt the fact that it is not all express... erhh U know what I mean( later I got knocked again). But someone also said we should not shelter this kids, they must be exposed.... arrghhh, still thinking..

The school will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year.

            Taken from school web:

Bukit Panjang Government High School was one of the first 6 schools in Singapore to be granted autonomous status by the Ministry of Education in 1994. This status was conferred in recognition of the school's academic performance.
Being autonomous, the school is given more financial resources to provide our students with a wide range of enrichment programmes and facilities.

            Extracted from school's history:
As property values rose steadily in the late Eighties and Nineties, so too did BPGHS academic performance. By the start of the Nineties, the school had secured its position as a premier school in the Western region. BPGHS' track record of sustained progress led to its being accorded autonomous status in 1994.

            .....
Today BPGHS takes its place among Singapore 's top twenty schools as ranked by performance. The school continues to excel in traditional niche areas such as the Sciences and the Elective Malay Language Programme (EMAS), even as new areas of excellence are being developed.

PS: Mr VP, if you're reading this, I'm waiting for my medal. muahahaha!

At the risk of incurring the wrath of many forummers šŸ˜› , I'll say one more time that BPGHS is the best school in the west.

This year alone, they were the champion team in National Science Challenge beating RI and NUSH. Also champion in the robogladiators competition.

Check out their achievement here: Click on Science. http://www.bpghs.moe.edu.sg/sch_achieve.php

PS: I shall repeat 1 more time that my siblings and I (5 of us) are proud alumni of the school. :rahrah:
Yes, I agree. The students there are mostly the good behaved one. šŸ˜„
