All About Full-Time Maids

HI madinked,
U seem quite firm in sending her back straight to Philippines :?
If your maid does have the money, do bring her to the agent to settle her loan as you are her employer and you are liable for her.
This is to safeguard you.
Once she really settles the loan, you should get a letter of release so that the agent or the maid cannot hold you liable anymore.
It pays to be safe.
Do not just listen to what your maid says.
Anyway, she cannot cancel her work permit, only you can.
Sorry to sound blunt. If what she said is true, her mom has already passed away, it makes no difference if she goes back tomorrow or the day after. Anyway, I don't think she can get am airticket now since all the documentations are not done.
But the repercussions that you had might be too complicated than you can far imagine. -
I did consult my agency who advised me against sending her back. They said after all the documentations, it will be past one week and no use even if she goes back. Then what if she comes out with pattern saying no one looks after her children since the mum is the main caregiver?
Or what if itβs real? Would not that make us too cold? -

I would advise u to send her back to the agency. If her heart is no longer with u, she might just poison u in your food.
if money is no object to u, just send her home, as the agency might just push her to another employer...if her heart is no longer here, she might just go crazy one day and kill someone or herself

Someone will take care of her children.
If you think you are not going to employ another maid from the same agency and you don't mind losing your deposit, then you are free to send her back.
Well, whether it is true or not, I don't know.
From what I know these maids have an agent in Philippines and they are able to find out if what she says is true or not. -

does it matter whether it's true or not? I think it's very dangerous to have someone who's unwilling, to work for u.

Hi skunk,
For me, I will just send her back to the agency.
But madinked seems quite compassionate about her maid and asks if it is true, she might appear too cold.

very much so, and as the helpers are at home most of the time, they are an undue (and unwanted) influence to the kids.
madinked, skunk may be a bit extreme but he's right that as long as they are not willing to work for you, it'd be an uphill task to CHANGE their attitude. -
How do we know she no longer wants to work for me already? Maybe her mum is really dead? And she wants to go back to oversee the last journey?

Hi madinked,
Did your maid says she wants to come back and work for you after she settles everything back home? -

madinked, yes, we do not know for sure if this is true. That's something that needs to be established and ascertained (by agent, by yourself, by ...); and if found to be untrue, there is probably a root cause for her wanting to go back.
It pays to be cautious and vigilant, although I do not know your family situation, bottom line is your family life is  at stake here.
