All About Full-Time Maids

Too many day offs can cause trouble my dear.

She's an ex-sin. She used to get every Sunday off.

Call me heartless, I don’t care.

I never give my maid off days as I don’t know what they do outside and who they mix with.

They can tell you lies that you least expected.

I compensate by bringing her out myself and compensate her in monetary terms. I buy her off day.

For her birthday, I will buy her a birthday cake and sing birthday song for her.

In short, I don’t allow her elsewhere unless instructed by me.
It is usually the neighbouring shops and she will return fast.

I told her if she runs away, I will blacklist her and she will have a hard time finding employers in future.
I may sound mean but all terms are laid on the tables.

I have 5 maids this year but I am still good with MOM.
As long as the fault doesn’t lie with me, who cares?

I can only say our government is too protective of the maids and the maids know and take advantage.

Send them to Malaysia and they will know what is heaven and hell!!:x

Terms can be re-negotiated.
Not necessarily ex-sin must give off days.

I came across a maid, appears very proud, unfriendly face, WOrks in SIN for 10 years. Wants off day every week. Pay is reasonable for an ex-SIN.

i still wave bye bye to her as I don't want a maid with off days.
So what if I have to train maids, I rather train than be trained by her

My current maid works in Dubai before but told me she doesn't want to go back there anymore.

Same goes to my another maid who is ex-Hongkong. She doesn't want to go back there too. :siam:

I realise my filipino maid couldnt pronounce the ‘F’ sound. Fan become Ban, Fish become Bish etc.

The ‘A’ sound is too ‘Ah’ liao, certain words eg taxi, camera are stressed too strongly.

Gotta correct her coz my toddler will imitate!

I thought Hong Kongers treat their maids very well.


I also bring her go shopping, only I let her free-roam and meet her at a certain time.

Any one wants to help me do some sleuthing? I managed to get her cousins’ numbers. Just wanted to really make sure they’re not in Singapore.
