The marine parade library is quite good in its selection. But I have not visited other libraries much…

We also love the ones at Bukit Merah and Queenstown - near the Special School , opposite a church and a hawker centre with 'good' food.

Both are very quiet because they are in mature housing estates.

Jurong West Library - next to Jurong Point - also not bad, new and spacious.

I love the seats in Yishun library - so comfortable, good for mummies to rest their tired legs after shopping while kids read.

Recently we went to Bedok Library after visiting my mum, this was my favourite place in my youth - it has changed so much. And while my kids rummaged through the books, I was sitting there, thinking about my past! 😉

        WE LOVE LIBRARIES!!!

I like Geylang library cos it has a great store of children's books and dvds - comparatively Toa Payoh (another haunt) is good only for books but not dvds; Bedok I feel don't have extensive store of books. 😛

But these are the only 3 in my area of 'exercise' - heard good stuff about one in Bt Batok/CCK (can't recall), supposedly very good selection of NEW children books.

CCK Lot 1 library, not Bt Batok Westmall library...at least to me....

Yishun library books seem quite new

Tampines & Bedok library books are in pretty bad conditions. I spotted torn books or books in such bad shape you don’t even want to touch

Yes, love the Queenstown library! The layout is also not very complicated so I don’t get lost chasing after my DS! LOL

Another Regional library I like is Bishan, where the children’s section is almost a whole area on its own

hquek, I agree with jedamum that I am not impressed with the Bt Batok one at West Mall. CCK has a much better and bigger selection. Unfortunately, I am stuck with the BB one most of the time.

If I can, I’d rather visit the ones at Jurong West (opp. Jurong Pt), Jurong East and Woodlands. They are bigger, newer and have better selections.
