This Royal family is the nearest to my fairy tale fantasy. Can’t say the same for most other monarchies.

I would like to see a young and beautiful couple. Stuff romance and dreams are made of. Don’t fancy Ah Pek and hid wrinkled Ah Um on the throne. I will turn off my TV.

My idea of a handsome and charming Prince and Princess is from Norway.
        Crown Princess Mary is beautiful.
Prince William should be the next king...hopefully his Duchess will remember to keep her bikini on and smoke in her loo.

The match that seemed to have been made in heaven, at least at that time, was Prince Charles and Princess Di.
          Perfect couple. πŸ˜„

papparazi is head-on with the Duchess. They will not let her go. This will cause depression over time.

French banned from publishing topless photos, now they claimed that in their hand video clip of intimate moment from the couple.

Looks like a personal attack. May be jealousy? but why QE2 nobody jealous of her during her younger times?

Camera lenses not so powerful? :rotflmao:

When QE ascended the throne, it was a different world, different era, different time. The common folks also loved and revered the Royals more. Royals were more discreet and they were not as visible to the public. cos The media was not what it is.
Masako married a guy who promised to protect her from protocol. But put himself in tight spot with his royal family. His younger brother snubbed him for speaking out for his wife. The Empress preferred the younger daughter in law. Actually to give birth in a royal family is an honour but that is only if your baby is a boy.

QE2 is so prim and proper...but her children divorced. Sarah topless, grandchildren also wild. Even her eldest son also no better. Just wondering how long she can hold on to her crown.

*sigh* It's a different world now......

I watched BBC's series of broadcasts/documentaries of the Queen's Jubilee, how dignified a then young Queen E.....

QE still command the respect of many people
Very true, she is the ultimate, people's Queen.... but the rest of the young royals... *sigh*

The heir's neck has grown very long waiting for his mother dearest to step down. Is QE reluctant to give her son that precious crown? Gosh, I can't imagine King Charles and his companion :faint:

you've just answered the question yourself  πŸ˜‰

Is dat a serious question or just a fleeting whimsical thot?

Hold on she must, rather than pass on to someone whose head cannot fit it and cause the downfall of her whole clan er... the monarchy
she just celebrated 60 yrs on the throne - tough job but someone must do it and she must be credited for hanging on despite so many ups and downs

Oh yeah, I just did
Queen was brought up in a different era...but then her kids were brought up by her. Poor QE must be exasperated seeing how her children and grandchildren have disgraced her. It's not easy to be a mother, let alone being queen of England.

Her marriage to Prince Philip is the longest and even outlast the total years of marriage for her 3 children. Btw, the youngest prince and his wife seem to be very low profile (I even forgot his name  ).
