2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Probably The kids are tired. DS also similar 3-4 weeks ago. Seem tired & want to sleep more than usual so I kinda go easy with him. This week he is counting down to exam.....he can't wait to start & get over it. But at the same time, DS now seem more motivated & will ask to set time for his studies (but say only. Eat snake here & there
). Actually I also xian Liao..... so just kept reminding him one more week & he can play play play. I'm sure our kids are keen to know how well they can do & trying hard, so i just remind DS now is the time, no point regretting afterwards.
 For me, many MIL relatives 'watching' cos I am SAHM (ie. do nothing DIL). So for personal & selfish reason, I do hope he does well so that I won't kena 'suan' .... Esp I need to face MIL whole day long.....

My son just had new pair of specs made...went to optician to get eyes checked few months ago but no time that day to make new pair. PSLE approaching, so kancheong.
Many students do have a spare pair of specs.janet_lee88:
TOUCHWOOD. Nobody expects the unexpected to happen, right?
A friend of mine told me her daughter's spectacle frames cracked suddenly (of all days) on the 1st day of her PSLE.
Both of my son's calculators are approved models. What's wrong bringing both? :stompfeet:
Janet, you go and ask the school why such policy of one calculator is in place when other schools allow students to bring in more than one calculator. Challenge only, ok? Don't make police report over this.
I have emailed the school regarding this issue. But I won't make police report. At most call MOE if school doesn't give me reply by Monday. -
I was told by the school that Chinese e-dictionary need not have sticker. Sticker needed for calculator only.

Just only a few days left to the big day and my DS teachers still piling them with papers after papers. The supplementary classes are still on and only stop after Monday. Have asked my DS to skip school and stop doing so many papers but he just refused to listen. He ends up working late through most nights and crawls up early to go school for extra session on Chinese in the morning.
I think he enjoys the company of his friends in class hence would rather go back to school then staying home. I will stop him from doing any more papers next week onwards. Just feel that there is no point to stuff in more in his little brain. Need him to be totally relax and well rested for his battle. -

Yours is sleeping... mine is making weapons... http://petunialee.blogspot.sg/2012/09/psle-prep-little-boy-style.htmlHi Mummies,
Want to check with you how many hours are your dc sleeping these days? My dd is feeling tired and keep wanting to sleep. She is still sleeping. She slept at 12 last night. We woke her at 9.30 am this morning. After breakfast and when she settled down to do her work at 10.15 am, she felt tired and went back to sleep. She is still sleeping now. Looks like the morning is gone. She has tuition in the afternoon. Looks like today is gone. Counting down to 4 days to PSLE! Thanks! -
The truth:i am a kid/newbie trying to get thru PSLE. I did not really care the occupation or kids part so don mistaken me as a adult
