Has your DC’s school arrange the seats for the exams? My DD did not go to school today, and am worried that she does not know which classroom and seat she will need to go tomorrow. Anyone having the same situation?

        Thanks

Hello dear... I would not remove it if I were you. I would have removed it 6 months or 1 year ago and got him USED to it. Right now, the eve before his exams, his entire work habit and process revolve around the tape... without it...

          (1) he will be more anxious and won't be able to focus

          (2) he does not have the habit of being neat and may lose even more marks because his work is too messy to be legible

          (3) there is only a SMALL chance that the correction tape will peel off. In contrast, there is a 100% chance that removal of correction tape so late in the process will mess with his ability to focus. If a child cries, there is often a good reason that adults should not ignore.

          (4) you might get blamed for the rest of your life if your child does badly

Making such a big change so last minute is as bad as MOE taking away PSLE exam one month before PSLE and saying that everyone will be randomly allocated to secondary schools. No one is used to it. Instead, if MOE wanted to make this change, they should announce it at least 4 years in advance. If you wanted to take away his correction tape, you should have announced it 6 months ago and helped him get used to working without it.

I hope I have not offended you. I just worry for your child's emotional wellbeing.

PSLE rules don't state that correction tape cannot be used. If I were you, I would hug my child and let him go in with his tape even if Teacher has discouraged it. And I will tell him \"Mommy says it's ok my love. There is only a small chance that the tape will peel off. If it does, too bad. It affects 1 or 2 marks. If you are distracted by having no tape, it affects the whole exam. Go, my love. Mommy thinks it's ok.\"

My son has been unwell for the past few days. So he is resting at home today and skip the briefing...have informed his FT and was informed there will be teachers around to help with seating arrangements.

Gave him panadol, flu and throat medicine to rest last night...but think he is really under stress as he was crying in his sleep. I feel so heartache.
