It is a sad case. I am sure there are many others who are suffering in silence.

Some people especially those timid ones whose parents are too busy to make ends meet might not be streetsmart or have someone to confide in. Gosh, they might evn be a country bumpkin in tiny spore.

I won't be surprised if someone said he has not been to the zoo, orchard road , have a simple Japanese or even Chinese meal in a restaurant.

This young man is so scared of losing his job that he suffered the abuse (doesn't that remind you of a maid).

The only one to bring in the money, the only one the parents can depend on, the bills, the fear, the pressure...it is unbearable.

I hope the boss would be punished for what he did.

This is the kind of people I would like to see his face splashed across the papers.

Hope those who are suffering in silence can pick up the courage to seek help.

I think everyone should learn to protect their interest even before the contract is signed. Have a clear understanding and establish your roles.

So anything additional that is not reflected, made known in the contract or made known by the employer during the interview, sorry. Not obligated to do it.

Even verbal stuffs should always be kept in black and white to save your butt lah.

            whatever 内情, we wun know...

what we can is to see the results and make comments.

no matter what the employee did, he shouldnt need to pay for all those \"outstanding\"... that is totally uncalled for..
How to spot an abusive boss...
In a recent survey, one in four Singapore workers said that he or she feels bullied at work.
Sixty-two per cent of the 2,281 people polled by online job portal JobsCentral said they were bullied by their superiors.
But 74 per cent of the respondents who said they were bullied indicated that colleagues are the biggest bullies, while 21 per cent said they were bullied by their clients...
No wonder no work-life balance, and low birth-rate?
              :yikes:
