I had my suspicion that she was primed (by neighbours' helpers) the fact that her contract finishes in Feb and since it's CNY and new schoolterm, I'd be sending her back in Dec...hence all the tell-tale signs of gross disinterest and as my mum puts it \"irritating us so that we would fire her!\"

Actually I was telling myself \"one less child to bring up.\" LITERALLY...had to take a map of the terminal, show her where the washroom, departure lounge and gate was...plus the money changer and chocolate shop(s)/

We are humans too. It hurts and takes a lot for us to come to a painful decision.

We are sad too, ok!!!

Yes I did feel sad as I talked to her and pleaded with her to be more sensible. I don't think I'm heartless. Let her bring back Christmas presents for herself, and two gals (stationery for the new school term in June), and hubby. Gave her some money as goodwill and told her to spend on the children since harvest would not be good next year.

what do you mean you've been told...from the horse's mouth bo pakeh okie...good that he helps out. DH's good at the cooking bit - cleaning irks him...

During festivities, he is very ON with serving our guests

and clearing on time... especially if the guests are my
friends and relatives or peeps we've not seen in such
a long time and have soooo much to catch up with..

He says he does it faster.
He says i'm a much better conversationalist.
He says i shouldn't dirty the clothes that he bought.

You must be feeling very happy now. I know the feeling.But perhaps you may want to consider putting her name up in Tamarind’s blog? To help future filiphino employers? Cause maybe she may want to come back to find work. I thought can help others. For me I would be very keen to know the name if is a myanmar one.
